WBA Congratulates Judge
Sandra Lynch
The Women's Bar Association of Massachusetts would like
to congratulate Judge Sandra Lynch as she assumes the
role of Chief Judge of the First Circuit Court of
Appeals. Judge Lynch, sworn in yesterday, is the first woman
to serve on the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
WBA President Kathy Jo Cook stated, "The WBA is
delighted to see Judge Lynch ascend to the position of
Chief Judge of the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
Throughout her years in private practice and in public
service, she has been a trailblazer for women in our
profession. She has served on the First Circuit Court of
Appeals with distinction and integrity, demonstrating
her sharp intellect and sense of justice. Judge Lynch is
a role model for women lawyers, embodying the very hopes
of the founders of our organization for the future of
women in the law. It is fitting indeed that she will be
the first woman to hold this position of leadership in
our legal system. The WBA wishes her well in this new
role." |
